i have a 94 firebird v6 auto i have looked at the codes i hav a 3.23 rear end with no lsd.. but sometimes i break posi.. one time in my driveway i layed down to marks that dug a rutt in my black top.. and recently i got my new drivesahft in... same one as factory jsut brand new... i seem to be breaking the driveside tire alot.. and last night at the car wash i was breaking some mad posi whats the deal??

It all depends what kind of terrain you are on and if it is wet or not. Just b/c you don't have a LSD rear-end doesn't mean sometimes your tires won't spin at the same time.

I don't have a posi and I can leave some nice burnouts on my blacktop w/ both tires. It all depends on how you're driving.

it his possible to do it on a open rear end. It doesn't happen to often but because of traction issues that you might have.

Strange to see 3.23 on an auto, usually it would be 3.42

But anyway if you have the RPO GU5 on your build list (performance rear end 3.23) you shoudn't have a problem with getting both the wheels to spin. I always spin both wheels.
