if you have a Z28 or SS take off muffiler come on in>

Here is the deal, I have been playing with geting a flowmaster, then a borla but at the same time I have a 99 TA muffiler siting on the side of my garage in perfect condition.
I tried once to get it put on my car but my mechanic didnt feel comfortable doing it. I was thinking, there are plenty of you guys with these things out there, where did you splice them into the stock system? after the S pipe at the disconect? right in front of the axle? I am considering trying to put this on myself because I cant seem to get rid of it and I figure if it really stinks and I have problems I will just get the borla. has anyone tried something like this in there driveway? I was thinking if I disconected the panhard arm and put it up on ramps I may be able to snake some of it through without a lift and droping the axle.
also, can I get a piece that will bring the 2 1/4" piping to the 3" piping, is there such a animal?

I got just the rear section, and bolted it on after the axle, no problem. All you have to do is cut the intermediate pipe down to the propper size.

You might be able to do it with panahrd rod, I haven't tried it yet, I just cut my stock one off a few days ago, I need to weld up some stuff and get a 2.25-2.75 in. reducer to put on and then I may try welding the rest up and put it on.

Question

Is this a cat-back or just the muffler? If it's a cat-back then a 3" to 2 1/2" reducer at the cat will work.If it's just the muffler then you can just cut the stock muffler off and put the TA muffler in it's place. If your mecahnic was scared to do something this simple FIND ANOTHER MECHANIC ASAP,THIS GUY IS A MORON!!!!! Good luck.
