I need tips on timing
I just bought a 88 2.8l and I know how to do the timing etc, but how in the fawk do you get a wrench in the distrubtor hold down that one bolt is just pissing me off. Any one have any trick, to get it lose i guess my gorilla hands are just to tbig.
Have you tried using a distributor wrench? You can pick those up at autoparts stores that sell tools. On my 90 firebird my distributor wrenches wouldnt fit, so I took the right size closed end wrench and cut the end off then welded it to the end of the distributor wrench and that worked.
I looked at those wrenches at the auto parts store but this camaro is metric (15mm) and they only sell standard If only the car was older. I got it I had to use a ton of swivels and extensions. thanks for the info though.
