Hah...welcome to having a Camaro.

The car is a '96 so it isn't new anymore.

My car has some noises from the rear over bumps...just need to grease some things.

LOL

I'm about the rip the rat-tat-tat heatshield off. It doesn't rattle going over bumps but ALL THE FRIGGIN Time. I won't need any tools; one day I am going to get so angry that I'll just rip the thing off with my bare hands.

I've got a thumping sound whenever I got over bumps (bushings I think, nothing some grease shouldn't cure), creaks whenever I drive slowly over uneven ground, and a thump whenever I let off the gas and LIGHTLY get back on the gas.

Oh, and my brakes are beginning to squeal a little when I slow down.

Squeaks, creaks, thumps, lumps, squeals, rat-tat-tat-tat I just love my camaro

Tell me about it.......haven't we all made the determination that the squeeking is the sway bar bushings? Nothing a little silicone grease can't fix.

Yeah guys...no big deal.

My girlfriend's brother has a new Camaro and he asked me "Dude, what is that creaking noise?".

My response?

"Trust me...you'll find out soon enough."

Cool

The squeaking is probably the hatch.Just take and extend the little rubber "stops" on either side of the hatch. This puts more pressure on the latch mechanism and keeps it from sqeaking and moving around in the latch. If the latch is worn and this doesn't solve the problem, then take some black electrical tape and wrap it around the little "u" shaped piece that goes into the latch. This will silence the squeaking for sure.As far as the bumps and things, don't know.I've had 2 Camaros and neither made any strange noises. But I did have an Integra that I thought was falling apart when you drove it above 40mph

It's not a squeaking, its a creaking.

Or you could just get a LOudmouth...."I hear no squeaking. I hear no creaking sounds. I hear no thumps I hear no pounds. I hear no rat tat tat or the sounds as if a tire's gone flat. I just hear VVRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR as the tires go around. "
