Noone with a cam has gotten an emission test done yet. Most haven't even dynoed. There is one with a good dyno. I don't know if he posts on here, his name is Mike Huff.

Is that for your buddy that lives around here? Whatever he decides to do, don't get any head work done yet. So far no proof of any gains has been shown.

dom, i know you know better.
when there is no other options, who cares what it costs to shave .1 of your ET. without proper tuning i shaved a half second, imagine what it will be with proper tuning!

I have an emissions legal cam. Put it in and had emissions test done 2 week later. So I know for sure it will pass.

Crower Regrind 196/196 .496/.496@1.6 115lsa 111ic.

It is for sale. $75 for this cam above if interested email me.

Oh and theres no way Mike Huff passes emissions.

I think once you start going up too far in duration above 212 or so you start running into emission problems. LSA affects this as well.

There is other options. Didn't Magnus inform the community? The information was given to him. I sure informed everyone I know.

There is a shop in Chicago that got some great flow numbers. But since none of you guys know noone has bought them yet.

I don't have any deals with SSM so here you go.

You dropped .4 with heads and cam. You got the best results by far. Noone else has even come close to it. Maybe you just picked the best cam. I'm just saying that headwork is not worth the price/performance right now. Once I see some solid evidence, I'll jump on the bandwagon.

just like headers in my n/a setup. still i have cia headers.
i drive my car all over the place, i am not so into weight reduction that i am going to make my car unsafe or even ugly at that.
i would have had nitrous but i have to prove to myself that my cam is computer friendly first.
my gains were impressive yes, but it is not all cam. and yes for some reason my cam is very different from everybody elses. i got mine back when SSM first came out with his power pack and people where mostly talking about it. then magnus gets his cam and people tend to copy his specs. oh well. i will let you know how it does when i get my tuning down right.

Good deal, I can probably get that cam cheaper. Let me know when he is ready to order. We'll get some good specs on it and get it on a dyno.

I got the trans race build. I can't belive I fried my 3-4 clutch pack after less then 10K miles. So this time no OEM crap in there. High performance servos, some parts that can be counted as a shift kit, 3-4 high performance clutches and more of them, some billet stuff, high perf 2-4 band, hardcore drum, got some machining done, everything I wanted basically. I swapped new shift solenoids from a 00 trans. I actually hope the 2-3 shifts takes it easy during partial throttle. I'll probably be able to chirp it on 2-3 now. It's really hard on 1-2 and 2-3 and I can feel 3-4. And that's all partial throttle, can't go WOT for a few more days. I'm still looking at converting to vacuum modulation. Probably summer since now it's too late and too cold.

I'm always up for car work. Just give me a call or email. After New Years would be good.

Truth is there is no such thing as a emission legal 3.8 cam.

Now.....yes it may not put the car over the "fail" limits, but if the tech knew you have a cam..........or its at all lopey.......I'd fail ya in heartbeat.

Now with that said...........don't ask....don't tell

And to spend the amount of cash that they are charging for head/cam work and the tuning....all for a WHOPPING 1 sec (if lucky..more like .5)............its a waste of cash.

Add a nos system........and be done......either way your warranties are void, and smog issues are raised.

What specs you have again? People should be coping your specs. Yeah, another thing, you have to get it tuned and not just throw a cam in there. If you don't tune it with a wideband you're just guessing.
