I just bought a new throttle position sensor for my 1995 camaro 3.4L and installed it. After installing it the car would idle at 2000rpm...so I took the sensor out to look at it and the little plastic guide tracks were chewed up at the top!!....is there some special way of installing this sensor???

you see in the sensor how it has a slot? that needs to line up with the part on the TB shaft. you need o be crefull and twist it a little bit untill it falls into place and then tighten it down

Thanks, that's what I thought...id is working but I was just concerned about the tops of the fingers being a little chewed up.
