hard shifting?

whenever i drive around town, i leave it in OD but some reason whenever i push the gas lighting so my gears will shift smoothly, it still gives that push. do i need a tune up or is aomething wrong? my 93 was an auto too and it never did that. the car that is shifting hard is the 2000 camaro, 25, 000. it was totaled before so would a tune up serve it any good since it was restord but not to well? any help is appreciated. thanks

I've had that problem too. When I took it into the shop for maintainance, I mentioned it and the guy said that the transmission in our cars actually adjusts itself to how its being driven. It made sense to me- seeing as I have a tendancy to work the **** outta my car. I guess my advice would be if you drive your car aggressivly, just give it a break for a while and see if it clears itself up. hope this helps.
