i think its at 114, due to the speed rating of the factory tires, however you couls always go out to a country road and see how fast it goes....just be careful

Yup, you do have a gov. Don't remember what it is though. I got rid of mine a long time ago.

Its set at 118mph. It gets up to about 110 pretty good but the last 8mph takes a while. Plus it wobbles a lot I didn't like the feeling of it, I think its the suspension. Be sure to use the fast lane.

The stock programming of the PCM limits the car's speed to 118 mph due to the speed rating of the stock tires. You might be able to go a little faster downhill though

That is true, that is to keep the engine from blowing up. The speed "thing" is set due to tire ratings. The guy saying he went over 118 was probably going down hill.

i wasnt going downhill....
if they are governed at 118... umm speedo only goes to 120 so maybe that is all i was doing.... as for the rating of the tires.. that sucks that they govern the car at the rate of stock tires from the factory.....

I got 35k miles out of my Junk Year Eagles..... then i put on Cooper Cobra GT II's and went from 35k to 115k... 80k miles out of them, never rotated, driven 100 miles per day at 73mph.....

they do it so people dont surpass the speed rating of the tires, which could cause a blow out.......then a lawsuit

I wouldn't even try going that fast until you got higher speed rated tires, and are sure that you are good enough to handle high speeds. I don't personnally see the point in toping out, but whatever you want its your car.

LOL, I have had that happen to me a few times. I slow down until they switch lanes then I gun it back to whatever speed I was doing.
