got my best milage EVER

went to the shore last week with my car, 3 people in it, all there stuff for a week and then some, AC on the hole way 65-75 MPH and then some light driving around .....28.1MPG

I dont normaly get this good cuz of all the hills around here my car is never in OD for long so I normaly get 21.

Dont know if the Wisper lid or borla help that at all cuz my mom did the same trip last year with my car before I added the Borla and got 25.

really really happy

I average above 30 mile a gallon driving around in my stock 96 with a 5 speed. Ive hit just shy of 40 miles the the gallon before (200 mile road trip at 60 with no hills, barely any shifts). The worst ive done was 24 mpg...thats was the weekend i got the car...yeah it was fun~might have left a little bit of white smoke while trying to re-tar the road at every stoplight!

From the sounds of this though my camaro must be doing something right! Ive only had it for a little over a month and the only thing ive done to it was put in a 165 thermostat. That didnt affect my milage at all.

a lower thermostat did affect my mileage a bit. couldn't be more than one or two mpg. A colder air charge and cooler running motor will effect gas mileage but driving a camaro when the motor is 210 is like driving a loaf of bread.

I don't think my car does that well, but with my lead foot it's no surprise. Yeah, I do hate the heat, my car runs like a dog when it's hot outside.

i'v been driving home from LA every two to three weeks for about a year now. its 390 miles one way. if i fill up the tank to full i usually have ~ 2 gallons left when i'm done (the needle is between the 1/4 and 1/2). that's going 80 in 5th with A/C most of the way on I5 with about 50 miles of pretty heavy mountain driving getting in/out of LA. how big is the tank? 15gal? 15.5? anyway i filled up right when i got in town a few times out of curiosity and filled up between 13.5 and 14 gallons to full.

so that's between 28 and 30 mpg. imagine if i drove 70.
