gas, your git'en screwed

I see all these $1.80 gas prices in the U.S.
Even tho gas is about $4 a gallon here in japan prices have stayed about the same.
It's some big scam at your expence.
Over here we more or less get crude from the same places some from the U.S. some from Mexico more from Russia and less from the middel east compaired to the U.S.

gas fluctuates 10cents a day here at the same gas station. it starts out 1.69 in the morning, but by the time you pass the station that evening on the way home, its 1.79. next morning it back to 1.69. WTF!?!?!

$4 a gallon , makes our gas prices not look so bad.

The oil companies are the ones scamming, I wish the government would do something.

3.785 liters in a gallon
76 cents for a litre of gas here
.76*3.785=2.8766
curent exchange =75cents-1$
2.875*.75=2.156$ per gallon american

in italy and germany gas prices are much higher

You should really consider researching to gain a basic understanding of how things work before making a comment like that. It is a quite moronic thing to say when you actually realize how the system works.

Compare a gallon of milk to a gallon of gas. Compare the technology behind each of them. Stop bitching.

Hmmm...not too much of an economic concept to understand. Supply and demand.

It just seems shady when one refinery closes for "maintenance" one after another and when all of them are finally up and producing to their maximum output, OPEC tells them to slow production because prices are getting too low. At that time, prices were still the highest in the nation.

To me, this doesn't make sense. If this does for you, please enlighten me.

I know for a fact it is the oil companies and not the gas stations fluctuating the prices. Thanks for the name calling.

I am glad you brought up milk, the government has strict regulations on dairy products to keep the market competitive.

Most of the $4 a gallon over here is ALL taxes.
Along with the all the $$$ from the toal roads.
Those tax funds are (were then) misshandeled by the former transpertation minister.
Gas prices have sayed the same more or less but road work has exploded over the last severl months it seams like.
