My sister is about to get exhaust done on her V6 camaro and the guy at the muffler shop is trying to get her to get an 80 series. I have the 40 series on my V6 sonoma and it sounds just fine. He keeps saying that the 80 series is built for the camaro/firebirds. Why is it that they suggest a 80 series over the 40 series.

 

Because the 80 series is a single in/dual out crossflow muffler designed to fit sideways in the rear of the f-body.
