Re: flowmaster

maybe 5rwhp, 80 series sounds badass, but flowmaster is garbage for performance, if you ever heard a flowmaster on a mustang, you will understand what im talkin about, (they buy for sound not performance), let us know how it sounds after the install! are you gutting the cat?

Re: flowmaster

first off, since i dont have to pass emmissions down where i live i gutted my cat, however if you have to pass emmissions where u live then i WOULD NOT gut the cat,

anyways if you want to gut it what i did was disconnect the exhuast at the cat (your going to have to when you put on your 80 series anyways) then i took a 6" chisel and hammered the honeycomb material that is inside the cat until it was broken up enough then i turned the car on and blew the rest of the stuff out. another thing to take into consideration if you have the 2 O2 sensor setup then you will have to get O2 sensor deletes in order for your PCM to run right, like everyone else says do a seach, you will find TONS of info especially on this topic

Re: flowmaster

i removed the cat and put a strait pipe in on mine for a short time it didnt really make it louder and it didnt seem to make any more power mabe a ponie or two. but it did make the tone of the car a little deeper.
