This guy at Camarov6.com is giving me his Flowmaster 40, 2.5" in/out that he was going to throw away. How do you think it will sound on a 3.4?

 

most 3.4L camaros sound great with flowmaster, never heard 40 though, only 80. Prolly sound about the same with less interior drone.

 

I had a 80 series on my 3.4, and I think it sounded about as good as a V6 can. Really nice burble at idle. Nice growl up to about 3k rpm, but above that started to sound a little ricey. But again, don't think you'll find much better for a V6. I would imagine the 40 series would sound pretty similar.

 

if hes gonna throw it away just tell him to ship it and youll pay the charges and ad in a little extra for his time. i say go for it

 

Yup, that's precisely what I'm doing. Except I didn't even think of paying him a little something extra, good idea. It is, after all, a really nice gesture. Even if I pay for shipping, he's still going out of his way to have it shipped. I'll try and post a sound clip when I get around to having it put on.
