exhaust from a z or ss???

ok. i need some opinions, have any of yall heard a v6 camaro with a z28 or ss stock catback system. how does it sound, does it add any power, would you reccomend it?
because i need a new exhaust, i dont want it to be very loud, all i want is more hp, with out it being loud.

Muffler alone won't add much, however if you can get the I-Pipe from a V8 along with the muffler then you would notice a gain in your power.

Really, you won't see much difference between mufflers, including the take-offs, except in sound.

BTW, as much work as you do to your car, you can get it to sound somewhat like a V8 at idle but anyone who knows cars will know it isn't a V8 but a V6 with work.

I have a stock cat back if you are interested. It has stock black rectangular tips. Iam located 15 min. south of dallas. E-mail me at megadeth1977@aol.com with an offer if interested.

Cool

I put a cat-back from a SS on my '95 V6 and it was a very nice gain.My ex drove the car without knowing I hsd done anything to the car and she asked me "what happened to the car,it felt faster".I think a take-off from a V8 is an awesome mod for a V6.

I have a WS6 takeoff, and the sound is nice at an idle. In the higher rpms it can get a sloppy, and when you take you foot off the gas its pops and cackles a lot. But i like it.
