Exhaust question for a friend

Whatsup guys,
gotta quick question to help out a buddy, he is getting a nice 94 v6 camaro. He wants to put a nice sounding exhaust on it. He is looking for something pretty cheap. What do you guys suggest. I personally think the 80's series flowmaster sounds good on the v6. Any thought/opinions/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

I have the Edelbrock cat-back on my 6. To be honest, I don't really like how it sounds.... rices out above 2k RPM.

Honestly, just about every cat back exhaust on a 6 cyl sounds like a exhaust on a 6 cyl. If you want a decent sound, remember you need a somewhat restrictive muffler, and it wont be super loud either. If you just are concerned with power, than any wide open exhaust will do. The closest to 8 cyl exhaust i have heard is a WS6 or SS take off.

Thanks a lot man. I'll pass the word along to him, and help him find a used factory exhaust off a ws6 or ss. Thanks again

Once again FLOWMASTER! get an 80 series not that expensive and believe me it does not sound like stock rumbles wonderfully! Your friend will not be disappointed!

He might want to go with a full catback instead of just the muffler.
Something with bigger piping than stock. Though I'm not sure what all is avaible for the 3.4.

I've been told CAI (intake mod) deepens the exhaust, which makes sense of course.

May want ot keep the edelbrock in mind...

3.4Ls sound ALOT meaner then 3.8L, the guy above had a 3.8L

Personaly I ahve had a flowmaster, best all around sounding(And decent perofrmance) for dirt cheap was a used CATBACK, off an lt1 car, the i-pipe is 1/2 in. bigger, and the muffler soudns like and aftermarket one on the car. I enjoy mine and its not too loud, if he wants loud, and sound kinda mean, butr still can tell its a v6 get a cutout.
