Exhaust problem
Exhaust problem
I've had one heck of a time with the exhaust... I've brought it to GM three times now because it starts to sound like I'm dragging mu muffler when the engine rev's around 1500 rpm. I was told it was the exhaust clip the last three times. I don't know if this clip keeps breaking or if there is a way to FIX it for good. Any ideas?
Re: Exhaust problem
i had an odd sound coming from my car, it was my y pipe. dunno if thats ur problem but thought it might help. also i would just take it to an exhaust shop they will look at it for free or maybe try another dealership
Re: Exhaust problem
my car did the something that sounds similar to that. half way between the cat and the rear axle, there is a metal guard covering the top of the top of the intermediate pipe, its about nine inches long i think. anyway, the clamps (clips) holding it on came loose on mine, so i had to use hose clamps to hold it down so it wouldnt rattle at certain RPMs. you might want to check this out before taking it back in to the shop.
