Exhaust

Okay, I've been looking over at camarov6.com and I have done countless homework on exhaust systems and still can't think of what to put in my 2002 camaro. I want the loudest sound and I want it to sound good. I know everyone has a preference but truly there has to be one or 2 exhaust systems someone can give me a definite answer on. (price isn't really a problem. I like to put the best in my car)

Here's what I gathered so far. (I would have posted this on camarov6.com but I am not yet registered )

1. Stefan's setup at projectvirus.com is the best sounding V6 exhaust system.

2. B&B Tri flow is good, Mangus uses that on his camaro but yet I can't decide....maybe if they gave some clips?

3. SLP Loudmouth. I have heard this is loud but I can't really find any good clips or confirmation wheater or not it's better then the above exhaust systems.

Also does anyone know where to find some good black headlight/tailight covers. I can find the tailights just never the headlights. I'd like to have the matching and get them all at once.

Also I can't find a white face guage for our camaro's 98+. Some help would be appreciated.

Any help would be appreciated. I am doing a whole catback and catylac converter swap it will be 3". So everything but the headers are going to be replaced that has to wait till later.

SLP Loudmouth if you want really loud is what I recommend...

If you want semi loud with a nice signature sound get a BORLA

The LS1 Borla kit, not the V6 one, that one is very modest and subtle.

I think it's safe to say that "most" V-6 owners install an 80 series Flowmaster. The SLP is EXTREMELY loud almost to the point of annoying at freeway speeds. To each his own though. A friend of mine at work has the LS1 Borla on his. It sounds just as good as mine and sounds raspy at high RPM's...... just like mine (I paid not even half the cost of his). I've got the Flowmaster 80 on my car with a cutout, and I think along with the cutout....sounds great. As for the light covers.....check ebay. For the white faced gauge overlay....good luck. I've been trying to find them for the past 3 years now. The earlieset I've seen is 97 for the V-6. I'm sure SOMEONE makes them for our cars.....they just have to.....

I was never much for the Borla....sounded a little bit too high pitched but thats just me.

Loudmouth is probably going to be the loudest that I have heard but I have never really heard the Tri Flow.

Most guys will just use a Flowmaster(I have the 40 series) and put a Catco Catco.

I guess I didn't really give any facts there just my 2 cents

From what you said, you want the LOUDEST, so I suggest you get the LoudMouth.

Stefan's set up is a FULL exhaust set-up. Headers to the tips.

I got the B&B, initially, it was LOUD, with the peak being around 2200 RPMs. Even on the freeway, it was very audible. But after readjusting it a few times and having it burn in, it has quieted down to a much more bearable volume. On the freeway, I can now hold a conversation with the exhaust being in a low volume level.
Don't get me wrong, you can still hear me coming the the road and in parking lot structures you can hear it echoing off the walls and all. To me, it feels "just right", not too loud and not too quiet. I'm sure the Flows and the others are prolly louder, but it can get old VERY fast, especially at cruising speed.
