Do you guys think that the egr being busted can affect the over all proformace of my car.

 

the egr valve will affect how the car runs how it changes the way your car runs will depend on what way it is broken

 

if it's stuck open it will cause some issues with air/fuel mix but if it's stuck closed it should act like you had an EGR block.. of course you'll get the SES code from the PCM and then were into the question about how smart the PCM is

p.s. mine was only two easy to acess bolts & one wire plug to get it off..
