Driveshafts

i have a question on driveshafts.....will an LS1 driveshaft fit in the place of a 1994 stock one? is the LS1 aluminum?where can i get a cheap aluminum driveshaft?

yes it will fit. i know when i plan on getting mine, i will prolly be getting it from hpsalvage.com.

so the LS1 is a aluminum?? and i am looking at about 300-400 bucks right? unless someone wants to sell me one cheap :P

No thanks, I'm going to put it in my car one of these days. I have a closet full of stuff for both cars that I haven't gotten around to putting in.

Check a local junkyard or eBay. You'll find one around $100-150.

alright..bro..thanks for the help..so when i do look for one..i am buying the driveshaft out of a 98+ Ls1 aluminum...and it should come form the yolk to the u joints right? and it will fit right in? no adjustments or removing anything?

I got one from my nephew's 98 LS1 put it on my 96 v6, piece of cake only 30 minutes to install.

its a very good mod, because its lighter, and when i put a ligther spinning mass thing :P (like skinnies for ex) it makes a nice change... plus they arent 2 pieces like ours

when i get the driveshaft...is it supposed to come with anything? or just the driveshaft? and a yolk? or what is in included total? and about balancing? how can you balance it? and it is expensive to balance it?
