Thumbs down Do I need GM additive?

Need to change the diff. fluid on my 3.4L V6. Went to the chevy dealer and the guy looked @ me like I was nuts because I asked for Limted Slip Additive. He said I do not think you need that on a V6? I bought it anyway. So, do the 3.23 Auto 3.4's have a POSI unit requiring this stuff???

Only if you have an Auburn or Eaton posi. Something clutch based.

Technically no, you don't need it. The Zexel-Torsen unit does not need the additive. BUT...

When we changed the fluid in my friends car, it made a weird noise. When we added the additive for kicks, the noise went away. $5...won't hurt to add it in anyways.
