I have a 94 3.4 camaro and my car has coils instead of a distributor.Is this stock or has it been changed.I bought the car used about a year.Thanks in advance for the help.

 

The coils are the stock ignition system... the LT1s were the ones equipped with the distributor better known as the Optispark.

 

Thanks for the help,I had searched but couldnt find anything.Since the v6 doesnt have the distributor that is probably why no one posted about it.

On a semi-related topic, check for oil leaks around that area if you get one and can't seem to find it. Apparently there are "dummy distributors" where an o-ring often cracks and leaks oil in high mileage engines.

 

so its like a coil pack on the 3.1??

 

Yes the 3.4 has a coil pack.... 3 coils w/ 2 plugs on them...
