Okay I've got a friend of mine who is obsessed with the fact that my Camaro is a V6 but it's an RS...he says they didn't make RS's with V6's..whats the scoop on that?

Your friend is living in 1992 and the latest. I don't know if all the third generation RSs had V8s but I know a lot did. No fourth generations though.

From what ive heard, third gen RS's could be a 5.0 V8 TBI or a 3.1 V6. The 4th gen RS is only a v6 with a body kit and dual outlets on the exhaust.

as for the 4th gen its an appearance package, a 3 peice spoiler and a set of ground effects, i know a few 4th gen RS Z28's. it has nothing to do with the engine

Im pretty sure they were only made in 96/97 for the 4th gens. Ive never seen a 98 - 02 body style RS on the streets.
