Question Cutout on a 3.4L

I already have a 80 series flowmaster and i like it for the most part but I am always wishing it was louder.
So my questions is do cutouts sound alright on the 3.4L? Are they loud? What size would i need? 3"? 2 1/2"?

Please provide any sound clips that you know of!!!!

i disagree with cobra 2550

if you like the sound of a flowmaster you will probably think that a cutout sounds good. i have one on my 3.4L and its loud. i think it sounds like crap. but it feels a lot stronger. down low in the RPM the car is a little sluggish , but up top it pulls a lot harder.

what size i-pipe do you have?

I would put it back, jsut before the rear axle.

I put mine in front of my CAT, ande have a huge loss of power, but I am going to try something to get me a little more power.

I honestly do think you will feel some gains, and yeah it will be alot louder, I woudl try to get one that is the same size as your I-pipe.

yeha , mine is after my cat (not that a highflow cat does much to restrict flow) it is right where the pipe goes over the axle. its a peice of plumbers pipe welded to the Ipipe and it has a threaded cap that can keep it closed.

oh another note, the intirior will have a lot of rattles if you drive around a lot with the cutout open
