Cruise Control

Has anyone else had trouble with their cruise control? Mine was working off and on and now it has decided to quit completely. This really sucks because I am in college and driving back home w/ no cruise control sucks, I have already narrowly escaped one ticket from not paying attention to the speedo.

This link should help, some one in this thread says even a burned brake light will not let you use cruise control, among other things.

On both my camaro and firebird it works fine the first time you set it, if you slow down the resume works to reset it but the set button won't, so you have to switch it to off and back to on, to set it. I know this means it's not working right because before it did not do that, but it's just a minor inconvience.
