converting an auto to a manual

I got a 1997 v6 automatic camaro for my first car. I wanted a manual but couldnt find one that wasnt a piece of ****. So i got an auto.

And I was wondering would it be alot of trouble to change it to a manual?

Someone said I could take it to the Chevrolet place and they would convert it for me. How much would that cost?

Re: converting an auto to a manual

I took my v6 auto camaro to the drag strip. I went with my friend he has a 84 monte carlo ss with an edelbrock intake and a holley four barrel carborator. I raced and him he beat me every time. But only by about .4 sec. I raced this eclipse i believe it was turbo, I stomped his ***. He might have messed up but I dont know. I also beat this v6 dodge truck but barely that dam truck had somethin done to it.

I will post my times i will make a new thread called..... 97 v6 at drag strip
