Cometic or Fel-Pro head gaskets?

Intense sells Cometic
Oreillys sells Fel-Pro
Which should I get?
I think the Cometics are superior. I plan to have a turbo in the future or swap in a v8. If I get the Cometics I can get the .052" thick gasket which will increase my compression ratio by 0.1:1
Well I guess that would be good for N/A but bad for FI.
thanks

Re: Cometic or Fel-Pro head gaskets?

it would be good for N/A to raise compression
but not good to raise compression on FI (TT)
because then you cant run as much boost.

but compression makes Hp, and so does boost.
so whats the trade off? Obviously boost is more important/
boost will make more HP than extra compression. right?

Re: Cometic or Fel-Pro head gaskets?

The cylinder that my mechanic told me had 80psi compression is all clean (steam washing from coolant). Its obvious I really did have a blown H/g!
I cant see any cracks in the block or head.

1) Can I use like Carb/Choke cleaner to clean out the carbon in the cylinder?
I tried, it doesnt really work.
2) Can I turn the engine over, so the pistons will move down so I can see inside the cylinder and clean better??
My clinder walls dont have the crossed hatch marks
