cold air, lid. 96 camaro??

i dont wanna spend 220$ on slp's cold air kit,
can i just get an ls1 lid and convert it?

any options? 96 camaro

If so...then it will not fit a 96. The throttle body is angled. Only 99 on up I think can take those. I heard they have one for a 98 where they still had that weird TB and I don't know if it will work for a 96. I'm leaning towards no.

Edit: Do a search for the make your own CAI.

No.

Keep your eye on the For Sale section here and on www.camarov6.com and you'll easily find a used for for about 100 bucks (give or take some).

I wouldn't buy the SLP lid. Lots of people in the LS1 board talk about it not fitting right.
