Is there any kiind of chip or programming tool that I can get for my 96 3.8??

None that I know of. I think Jet makes one. but it's not worth the money. Makes no diference from what I've heard.

Hey man, I would have to agree somewhat. I have the Jet stage 2 performance chip. Running just stock with it would be a waste of money. Yet, if you are planning on adding headers, etc. to the car i would spend the money (although expensive as hell) and get it. I find these chips work and should be used only in conjunction, and compliment other upgrades, but with simple mods i wouldnt waste the money. Just my $.02

I guess its not worth it then. My plan is to start off mild. I think that a CAI, exhaust, shift kit, and a 160 thermostat should start me off. Anyone have any of these mods? If so what kind of improvement did you see? Thanks.

My cai alone took off .3 of a second. 3.42 gears will knock it down too if you don't already have it.
