I don't know whats wrong. I was driving no more than about 3 minutes and all of the sudden the car shuts off. I noticed the service engine light came up right before it went off. I pulled into a gas station that i was close to (thank god). I tried starting it up. it started, then dies. tried again.... it startd then died. I put some gas in it. started, then died. I keep hears a hissing/poping noise everytime it shuts off. Anyone know?

 

fuel pump?? but i am not sure if that would throw a code. you would think so.

Sounds like a fuel problem to me.If you can't pull a code you could try replacing the fuel filter if it hasn't been replaced lately. I had an 87 Grand National that did the same thing and It was the fuel filter. Hopefully it's not the pump.
