its like im out of gas but im not and i can here the pump turn on

going to need more information . does the engine turn over ? does it have fire ? do you have any flashing. codes. " engine light flashing "

it was having trouble turning over a few days ago then the next time i tried it didnt turn over. check engine light is on.
