camaro rs.....?
i have an RS that i bought used and i was actually wondering what makes it different from a regular v6 besides the ground fx (wich i don't like the look of and plan on replacing anyways)?

should have the Y87 package, (posi, SS suspension, rear disk (if it was pre98)) maybe exhaust?

i thought i read that somewhere but i may be wrong, i'm just a Ford guy <excuse for everything

The 01 and 02 RS camaros came with SS suspension, racing stripes and dual outlet exhaust. Not too sure about the LSD and gears though (Y87).

the y87 i believe had GFX dual exhaust, Sport suspension, badging, small spoiler, Posi with 3.23 gears........ all camaros 97+ had rear disc i think

Is Y87 and RS the same thing in 2001? Because I know in 2001 SLP started making the RS.

Found out it is a different option code too. The SLP Camaro RS option code is Y3B.

all y87 is, is lsd and 3.42 gears if it's auto.

the 97 rs didn't come w/ rear disc.
and did you know the front fascia cost $200!!! damn fiberglass!
