I'm pretty sure all the bolt patterns for the different engines for fourth gens are different. And you'll have to shell out some cash, a used T56 is worth considerably more than a 4L60E. If you're dead set on it you could probably modify the bellhousing to work or have a custom one made but it would cost ya.

Ooops my bad i didnt mention that im not keeping the V6 were doing a 383 stroker and i wsa just hoping that selling the A4 would open up some better chances of getting rid of it. I was figuring that it would nt work but i didnt know for sure so i was hoping i would luck out tho.

where is the beating the dead horse emoticon, NO, no V6 trans will work on a V8 and no V8 trans will work on a V6 (unless you spend more money on it than the car is worth, but in that case i could make a turbine engine work on an F-body)

The T56 has the standard V8 bolt patern.
It will bolt up to a SBC, you will need all the Lt1 clutch parts that go with the T56.
