best cat-back system for the buck-performance

i am debating between these 3

flowmaster 80 series
SS loudmouth
flowmaster american thunder

what will give me the best performance combined with a whisper lid, SLP ram/cold air box, and a K&N filter.....

i was goin gto go with 2.5 inch pipes from the cat back, with 3 inch tips, that sound good?

You forgot to mention...DYNOMAX! Performance wise, they're all about the same.

DYNOMAX
Need we say more? The Dynomax is cheap, stainless steel, quiet but deep sounding, and flows better than any other muffled system out there.I have it on my Z and it is AWESOME.Another good choice for a V6 is a take-off catback from a SS,you get a stainless 3" mandrel bent system that's 10X better than your stock system.Good luck man.

Nope, V6's show a 12 RWHP and 14 RWTQ increase with a 3" cat-back and muffler system. That's dyno numbers from a B&B but all 3" cat-backs should be the same. The peak TQ moves a little higher in the RPM band but you don't lose anything.

Took off .3 in the 1/8 and over a half in the 1/4

Great flowmaster specifically designed 2.5 inch catback system w/ 3 inch chrome tips. Can be found for about 260.

I haven't heard that set-up, do you mean the Delta or Original??

Right now I have the 40 Delta on a stock cat (and stock pipes) . It's a quiet muffler, until you get on it. The only problem I have is that it sounds somewhat hollow. Outside it doesn't sound too bad, but inside it sounds like a motorcycle. I'd been wondering about 2.5 or 2.75 inch pipes, or a cat, and Cai, if that would deepen the sound (I know it would). Or whether I should just save up and get the B&B. I've been leaning towards the latter lately.

I just had a custom install done. 3" piping from the cat to the Magnaflow muffler. 2.5" piping from muffler to my tips, dual duals. The sound...UNBELIEVABLE. The cost, a mere 400 for installation and parts....they didn't charge me ANY labor costs....what a deal. I know I can tell a performance difference. Flowmaster has a bad sound whenever you let off the gas, it gurgles as the RPM's drop. The sound is also quite annoying, I know a girl that has the 40 series on her newer RS Camaro and I hate it...but not quite with a passion.

About the 3" piping, I installed the borla cat back with 3" last week on my car and I havent driven it hard yet but it feels a little quicker from say 40 on.. It may be out of your price range $500 or so, it sounds awsome under 2200RPM's but sounds ricy up top
