Belt tensioner assembly

Belt tensioner assembly

Can anyone offer any help on how to replace on of these? Dont do much work myself and need to know if it is a hard thing to do or not. Thanks for the help. It is a 99 V6 firebird.

If I remember correctly, no it's not hard.

I found a link that helps a little. It's for a 3.4L, but it should be basically the same steps..

on the 3.8's the tensioner has heater hoses conected to it that have to be removed first. And then you unbolt it. I blieve its three bolts pretty simple just becareful when dealing with the heater hose conectors they are plastic and break easily.
