i was listening to the engine today, its at about 90,000 miles. When i start it up and let it sit idle, you can hear an intermittent clank, which sounds more prominent fron under the car. When you rev up the engine to about 3000 rpms and let off the throttle, you can hear it clank several times and then it will go quiet. If it sits it will klank a few times, go quiet, and then do it again a few times. Its not lound from on top the car, but when you get under you can really hear it up close. Could it be the exhaust rattling, im not exactly sure what im hearing.

Sticky lifter is what it sounds like. I had the same problem, they make an engine additive to free up ur valve train, try it out. It goes in with your oil and should fix it.
