B&M shifter install

when i installed my shifter today, t-5, i didn't take out the plastic cup bit that the shifter sits in, as it looks to be in perfect condition. the instructions say to re-grease a replacement one where needed. i didn't need to take it out and grease it up, did i... i dont think this matters, as it is already greased up, and is in perfect working condition...

anyway, tell me what you did, and what you think

thanks
ian

you get the b&m shifter for the t-5 tranny (which camaro's have 82-02, v6 and 3rd gen Z28's), the part # is 45051, i think, i live in canada and payed $206 CDN, but you can get it loads of places on the net for $169.99..

look around, its not hard to find, and makes a HUGE difference, its like driving a different car.

hope it helps
ian

ps. grease the ball part at the end, it'll stop some of the vibration noise (that is really quiet anyway...)
