Thumbs up Automatic tranny to a Manual??

I know this hot chick who has 02 Drop top Firbird V6. Of course it is auto but she wants to make it a stick. Is this possible? Has anyone attempted this before? Is it even worth the trouble? What parts will be needed, is there any websites to reference this question. Thanks Ladies and gentleman. Take it easy

Its possible. I don't know the specifics but my friend that installs trannies says its a lot easier to turn a manual into a automatic then put a manual in a auto.

unless you have the cash and time and the hassle to go threw with it, then its worth it but i would say sell the car and buy a better one maybe instead of a v6 get a v8 stick

there is a 3.4L guy in texas that is going to attempt to do it. he is still gathering parts to do it though

all you should need is the computer for the manual transmission car, the transmission, clutch pedal assembly, flywheel, shifter, and hydraulics for the clutch master cylinder.

hope that helps.. i know that there are a lot of 3rd gen guys that have gone from auto's to manuals you might want to look at some of their write ups to determine if you think its a job you wanna do, and just remember they dont have to mess with the computer like you will going from a A4l60E to a t5
