hey guys whats the ASB light on the dash of my 3.4l mean ????????????


not the ABS brake light

im talking about the one over by the Fuel gauge ????????????

it's not on or anything im just wondering what the heck it's for ?

 

It indicates your abs isn't functional and you now have only power brakes. Mine is on right now and I think it's the sensor that is messed up.

 

when that light comes on , make sure that your 3'rd brake light isnt out

 

when there is a problem in teh ABS system it trips the enable realy and shuts down the ABS system. you can get it scanned at a shop or a dealer and get the codes to find out what is wrong. Like said.. if there is a short or burnt bulbs in the 3rd brake lite it can set codes and turn your ABS light on

 

So a burnt bulb can deactivate the ABS?

 

I don't know about deactivate the ABS, but a burnt out 3rd brake light will make the ABS dash light go on.

The topic starter clearly stated it was not a ABS light, it was a ASB light.
