I never did this with my 3.4, but on the 98, I have changed the anitfreeze.

Didn't know about it at the time, but there is an opening of some kind somewhere on the engine (I am so sorry about how vague this is).

Suppose to open this up and drain the coolant straight out of the engine, as well as the radiator. This is how you will be able to fill the full amount of fluid into your car.

check the Haynes Manual or Chilton, they [I]might[I] have something about the location of the plugs to open.

Lightbulb antifreeze

I changed the antifreeze hundreds of times......It was of a typical engine antifreeze change......There was not any bleeder screw on mine and I did upgrade the antifreeze to the 5 year orange juice without hurting the vehicle.....fill it, run it, and check fill again and run it and finish fill after cooldown and you will be fine....
Jim

If by chance your engine has that bleeder screw.....bleed it while running your engine and bleed it after you shut it off right away...
