I noticed while driving today that my battery gauge seems to move around at 3000 RPM. When I finally go WOT, it drops into the yellow. I get the feeling this is an alternator problem. Here is a bad example of the battery gauge

I got my alternator replaced 4000 miles ago. It was new, by Pep Boys (I think that was my problem ).

What's a good alternator to buy? I have 3 10" subwoofers in my car. I don't want something that will **** out like this one did.

I want to go down to Pep Boys and complain, I got it freakin 4000 miles ago!!

 

I have a Checker Auto Parts alternator in my car and it is pushing an amp with about 950watts RMS with out too much struggle.

You say you have 3 10", but what amp do you have?

Well if its a Pep Boys one..........it has a LIFETIME warranty.

Take that sucker back and yourself another one for FREE!!!!

 

That's where I was headed. If your not running a monster stereo system just get another alternator. They only take 30minutes to install.
