Has anyone tried the flowmaster american thunder cat-back. How does it sound?

 

I've heard it first hand and I like it.

 

I have it and I think it is Okay, It doesn't rattle, but the muffler sat kind of low and din't look very good from the back so I painted it black and it looks good now, I ended up changing tips, IMO cut off tips look great from the side but theydn't look as good from the rear. The sound is pretty nice, you deifinitly can hear it in the car above 2500 and it echos nice in town and it gets attention. Performance wise I can't feel a differene but I'm sure there is one because the pipes are much larger, That stock pipe on the 3.8's is junk. I'm getting 23.5 MPG. It was worth the money,I really can't compare it to anything else though.

 

Haven't really heard many negatives reviews about it.

The 98+ has a resonator and was on hp tv. (though I didn't see that episode).

 

It's really hard to get any good info on here, best to do a search and do a lot of reading, everybody has an opinion. I went with flowmaster because they seem to have a good reputation, but just last week in a thread about 6 people agreed that flowmasters were complete junk, so I still don't know what to think, I haven't heard much else in person.
