Adjusting the clutch?
Adjusting the clutch?
Anyone know how to adjust the clutch in the v6 3800 camaro? I also have a honda crx that is really easy to adjust, there is a little cable going to the transmission with a ring that will move the cable up and down. I cant find a cable like this on the camaro, is there one? Im not sure if the difference between a cable and hydraulic clutch would remove this adjustment or not.
Re: Adjusting the clutch?
i dont believe u can adjust our clutches, they are self adjusting...
i may be wrong, but i believe this is what i've heard to be true, whats wrong with it, anyways?

Re: Adjusting the clutch?
Sure you can ajust the clutch if it's a mechanical clutch.
But your camaro isn't a piece of crap import with a machanical clutch. Your car has a hydraluic clutch and you can't ajust it. It's better of that way.

Re: Adjusting the clutch?
The reason I ask about adjusting is that you can cause the clutch to move farther back or farther forward, ricers tend to do this so they can tap the clutch pedal and it will stop the tranny for quick shifts. I was wantin to do it cause it seems to stop the tranny more effectively, the farther back it is. And I dont know about you guys but my tranny is rather picky about when it shifts (hard to go in first from a standstill and sometimes hard to shift into other gears while moving). Sucks that I cant adjust it.
