Add performance parts to my V6????
Add performance parts to my V6????
I currently just have a stock V6 3.4 Camaro. planning on dropping in a 350 this summer and that is why i ask this question. i currently have flow master exhaust with quad tips but wasn't sure if i should just go ahead and add like K&N filter or Cold Air Intake for now. What would anyone on her suggest i should do, and what is the actual diff. in the Cold Air and K&N(Performance wise as well)? Thanks,
I'm not sure about the CAI, you've got a different engine so I'm not familiar (I haven't even gotten mine yet), but for the catback what size piping do you have? I know the Z28's come with 2/ 3/4" so you might want at least that much (or maybe you'll want to ditch it later and get true duals
).
What year, model 350 btw?

Satellite98: i plan on getting a 95+ LT1 with under 50k on it. not totally sure yet though.
V6Power: if i were to put in a new engine wouldn't i need to buy a new suspension anyways? so why would i buy a new one now?
former86camaro: Trust me when i say i am not made of money! i only make $7.00/h.

well, i'd sit down and think about what your plan are...
if u really want a lt1 swap and can afford it...then theres no sense at all to drop money into v6 mods yea know? esp when money's a factor. So i'd sit down and think first, then decide and go ahead with thoe plans. It seems to me that u are in the middle somwehere

im not 100% , but i think teal is right on this one. the CAI just replaces the stock airbox , the elbow remains the same.

man i totally forgot about this thread. whoops. lol i'm probably gonna just get the air filter anyways. thanks for all the posts.
But as for the engine i want/need, all it takes is time. i owe like $500 left on carpayments and $800-900/month working. it shouldn't take me all that long. oh well. if anything comes up with it i'll be sure to post.

Suspension is not connected to the engine. You can get a better suspension at any point and you do not need to get new suspension when you get a new engine.
