Alright it is a 3.4 m5 with 98,000 miles. Has been spudering at low speeds lately, mostly when cold out side.. I tried to go to the bank yesterday and threw her into reverse started backing up and bam car cut out. .. engine died, tried to start her up again with no luck, tried throwing some more gas in ( was at 1/4 mark )
Now when I try to start her up she tries to backfire ( very weak poping). Youcan tell the starter is trying to turn over the car...

Ideas
coils
timing belt/chain
fuel pump
sensors?

The fuel filter was changed 6 months ago, the spark plugs and wires were changed 4 months ago. The bat, alt, and starter are all new and work fine.

I think so, but not sure is their a easy way to check?
