my mechanic that put in my engine has an exhaust system from a 98+ WS6 that I want to put on my car. He's gunna give me it for free, but I was just wondering if this would fit.. i have a 95 camaro with the 3.4 and i think the piping for my exhaust is 2 1/4' and the WS6 is like 2.5' or 3.0' Would this help out my tourque/hp any way? how would it sound?

 

Remove your cat, and have a pipe bent from your manifold downpipe to the new section, and you are set. If you do that - it will sound very good. Only gets a little raspy at HIGH RPM's.

The mounting and everything else is the same though. You may need to have the bracket that holds your cat up cut off and welded to the new pipe section you get put in there, just to hold it still, but that's not a problem for anyone with a band saw and welder.

They are two different diameters, but a muffler shop can flare the new piece of pipe to fit it up w/ no prob.
