ive got a 95 3.4l. honestly, theres not a whole lot of aftermarket performance-wise for the 3.4l. so maybe you can look more into appearance mods or throw a good sound system in there. just a suggestion.

meh to be totally honest with you man dont throw 200 dollars at that car to make it faster. im 19, so i can relate to you, im not some dick where money is no option and is just trying to put you down.

the 3.4 is really a dog of a motor. if you were gonna mod a v6 youd be infinitely better off with the 3.8 liter ones that came in the ls1 era cars. start a small account which you put in like 10 bucks a week and save your change. sounds stupid but in a year youll have dam near a thousand dollars (including that 200 u have now) which these days is enough to pick up a used lt1/tranny or a totaled lt1 car. hows that for a power upgrade? of course youll need the know how to do a major job like that but if dedicate yourself to it, youll find every bit of information you need right here on the forum,

if you HAVE to use it on your current car id imagine the mod id do, as said above, look for a posi rear and if you can swing it, maybe a few more bucks for a rear with 373's or 411s already installed. at least youll be able to drift in the snow then lol

keep in mind, taking out 10lbs is like adding 1hp ( estimate of course) so if your looking for a faster car but you cant spend any more then 200 just start yankin stuff out.. ac, bumper, foglights, sound insulation, speakers/subs/amp/ , front sway, air pump, emissions stuff, etc the list goes on forever. who knows maybe youll have the fastest n/a bolt on 3.4l f body

good luck with whatever you decide to do, and most importantly have some fun with it

$200 tops isn't that much so you'll have to go best bang for your buck.

- New plugs & wires ($60)
- Used LS1 driveshaft ($75)
- 2.5" I-pipe ($50)

Hey man I'm with sn8k eatr on this one man. I was 16 *22 now* when I got my first car that was a 96 3.8 Camaro. I dropped so much money into it *Intake, exhaust, gears, audio, yadda yadda yadda*, and people were always putting me down for it. I got the car to feel a little faster, but in reality it didn't go to much faster. Save your cash for an engine swap if you love the car, or look for a whole different car. The V6's are just built to be an economical daily drivers, not race cars. I learned the hard way... now I have an LT1 Bird...and i still get crap for it...cuz it's an LT1 haha. There's no winning. But if your dead set on making the car faster and keeping it a v6, I used to be part of this website, www.camarov6.com . All of these guys are really nice, and all have v6's!! Good luck man, and remember nobody's trying to be a dickbag, we're just trying to pass down knowledge.

That really is a good write up there Sn8ke eatr! The mods should make it a sticky for all the low $ cats hoping to make awesome power with the 3.4.
