ok on the freeway in OVERDRIVE my rpms @ 80MPH = 2400-2500
IN DRIVE on the freeway my rpms @ 80 mph =3400

 

Regular "D" on freeway = bad

You really have no use for any other gear other the OD, I only have used drive D for steep hills and never have needed 2 or 1

Leave it in OD

Also, driving in regular D WILL cause you to get worse milage.

Dont worry about the gauge, mine drops like crazy after 200 miles.

 

sometimes in some cars the low oil light comes on when its first started because it hasent registered oil pressure yet. After oil pressure comes up light goes out. Just a possibility.

 

yeah the light will come on when i start the car sometimes most of the time ... but if i turn it off again and turn it on it will go off
but it will stay on if i dont turn it off withc scares me

my 94 camaro idled rough also, it was idling around 700 rpms, I raised the idle speed to about 1000 rpms and it resolved the problem. There still might be something wrong with the engine but try that if it is idling low.
