4th Gen V6 swap

I was just wondering if anyone has don't a V6 swap on a 4th Gen F-body - such as swapping the 200hp 3.8l V6 out for a 304hp LLT V6 from a 5th Gen Camaro.

Given the lighter weight of the 4th gen V6 F-bodies - the LLT V6 should produce performance numbers that are at least equal to LS1 powered 4th Gens.

The general way this is done to approach 225-240 HP is with a hybrid of the 3100, 3400 or 3500 Aluminum Top End, a decent high performance cam and valve train which will radically change an Iron Head engine into fairly decent street machine while keeping the engine weight down and maintaining an engine block inside the car with only six holes and six slugs in it to accomplish the task.

If you visit the link to the site below... there are 60* hybrid "stickies" galore and you will find a dedicated group of engine modifiers, performance "Tooners" and builders who have already successfully ploughed (plowed?) the field for you. From the main page there...as here... it is very easy to use the search engine find and the possible parts, procedures and pieces in combination and you will enjoy getting there help and information. Best of luck with whatever you decide to try!
