If you are asking about 3.73's, it should be noted you experiance, - no offense at all. Just that, gears take a professional to install, there are minute measurements that must be exact and without special tools you just can't do it. But safe to say that if not busy, 3 hours would be too much of a wait. Cost I have seen from 200 to 600 depending on the shop.

Some of the older T-5's had a huge 1st gear, but usually its a 2.95, where as the 1st gear in the 4L60-E is a 3.06.

Going from 3.23's to 3.42's would be the equivalent of adding about 11-12 horsepower.
Going from 3.23's to 3.73's would be the equivalent of adding about 31 horsepower.
Going from 3.23's to 4.10's would be the equivalent of adding about 53-54 horsepower.

More gear specs to come...as soon as I figure out excel

The earlier version of the T-5 did have that low 1st gear. The later model 4th gens didn't have that (I believe), like mine. It's a 2.95. Which is a deep gear for a manual by most standards. I did the math, and the math leans toward your favor. But all the research I have done indicates a T-5 in the 1998 model is a 2.95 first gear. So???
