Angry 3.4L Water Pump Install

I had to put on a new water pump on my '94 V6 last Thursday after work, and let me tell ya, it's a pain in the butt. If anyone else has done this, they probably know what I am talking about...

The water pump itself is no problem...actually pretty easy to get to, and very managable. BUT, you gotta get the power steering pump out of the way . Actually the bracket is what is in the way, it sits right in front of two bolts you gotta remove to pull the water pump. One of them you could possibly wrench off, but that would be even more aggravating, and the other is impossible (I think) to get too w/o gettting the PS bracket out of the way.

And another trouble spot is the gasket along the bottom edge. Why they started making these huge gaskets that have to seal all the way around the pump is beyond me, but this one isn't too bad. You just gotta be careful along the bottom though because it uses three smaller bolts, and they hold on the thinnest part of the gasket.

If anyone is going to be doing this before long, let me know, I'll try to give you more info so your install can go more smoothly.

I did that this summa. Ya it wasn't fun. took me longer then I though because I didn't realize at first that I had to take off the power steering bracket.
